• 1880 – Lee Richmond pitches the perfect game for the first time. On that day, he pitched a perfect game against “Cleveland Blues” and retired 27 batters all by himself. This event made history for him in professional baseball.
• 1890 – Cy Young pitched in the major for the first time. In that game, he pitched a three-hit 8-1 game victory against the “Chicago Colts.”
• 1900 – Foundation of The American Baseball League.
• 1903 – First World Series was held, where the “Boston Americans” beat the “Pittsburgh Pirates”.
• 1904 – Alta Weiss becomes the first baseball professional woman player for Vermilion Independents.
