I found the A2000 uses Wilson’s registered Pro Stock leather. Aside from this, SuperSkin, Spin Control technology, flat finger binding, etc., are implemented. Let’s find out what Wilson gave them.

Wilson Baseball Goods Manufacturer used Pro Stock leather for the Wilson A2000 softball glove. The pro stock leather comes from a Japanese tannery. Basically, they select the top 5% of hides from Japanese tanneries.

Performance

Theoretically, the glove should perform top-class. Because it is made of almost top-class materials, no doubt. 

What is my experience? I got almost top-notch performance and still getting it. Some of my students also are checking this glove and found it great. 

The wrist lining gives excellent comfort, padding doesn’t hurt at all even in brand-new condition. The pro stock leather in the Superskin development state is significantly lightweight which mostly amazed me.

However, there are several ways you can use to break in your new Wilson A2000 outfield, infield, pitcher’s glove, or catcher’s mitt. Oven, malleting, warm water method, catching practice, etc., can be used for breaking in the glove.
