Globe Life Field Bag Policy 2024 – No Multi-Pocket Bag Are Allowed!

Glob Life is one of the 7 MLB Stadiums with Retractbale roofs. According to the Globe Life Field bag policy, the main rule is that bags must be soft-sided and smaller than 16″ x 16″ x 8″ – about the size of a small purse or tote. So, compact crossbody bags, handbags, and totes without hard sides are okay.

“Unfortunately no backpacks are permitted, unless it’s a single-compartment drawstring style. And hard coolers are a definite no-go.”

The good news is you can still bring in a sealed clear plastic bag up to one-quart size for outside food and snacks. Just stick to soft and squashable when it comes to your main bag.

If medical supplies require a special bag, those are exempt from size rules – just prepare for additional inspection.

So in summary – soft, small, and see-through are the keys to breezing through security with your bags.

Stick to the guidelines and you’ll be sitting in your seat stress-free in no time. Read on for more tips to ace the bag check and get on to the ballgame!

Globe Life Field Bag Policy -Detailed Information

The bag policy at Globe Life Field is fairly strict to ensure the safety of all fans attending Texas Rangers games.

Types and Sizes of Allowed Bags in Globe Life Field

Globe Life Field acknowledges the necessity of bags for belongings during a match, with some restrictions to ensure safety and ease of access.

  • Single-compartment bags make it onto the accepted list, allowing you easy organization and retrieval of your items.
  • Small purses or fashionable clutches are also welcome
  • The bag size should be 16 x 16 x 8 inches and will enter without any fuss.
  • Soft-sided bag or purse as long as they align with the given dimensions.
  • Single-compartment drawstring styles can attend the game with you!
  • Sealed clear-quart-sized plastic bags are allowed for carrying outside foods.

“Leave all hard-sided coolers, briefcases, and multi-pocketed backpacks at home.”

Prohibited Bags in Globe Life Ballpark

To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all spectators, Globe Life Field enforces a strict policy on prohibited items.

  • Attendees should be aware that backpacks aren’t allowed.
  • Coolers of any kind are strictly prohibited.
  • Hard-shell containers won’t be acceptable inside the ballpark.

“Regardless of your snack preferences or requirements, remember that all carried items will undergo meticulous inspection at the bag check process by security personnel enforcing Texas Rangers Globe Life Field policy faithfully.”

Exceptions to the Bag Policy in the Baseball Field

Globe Life Field bag policy exempt the rules from the medical bags, diapers, food and water

Even though the bag rules are robust there, you’re gonna enjoy some relaxed policies also. Exceptions to their bag policy mainly include;

Bags are carried for medical reasons or diaper bags that accompany infants or young children. These bags are allowed inside the stadium, even if they don’t meet the size requirements.

Drawstring bags (single-compartment only) within size limitations are permitted by the ballpark.

Working media members are permitted to carry backpacks after they go through the security screening at the media entrance.

Sealed non-flavored water in plastic bottles is also allowed. The weight limit is under 1 liter.

One bag of food and one bottle of water per ticket are permitted, with additional considerations made for dietary concerns and infants.

The “No outside food and drinks” rule is quite universal, yet Globe Life Field allows exceptions for specific needs such as medical necessities or childcare essentials inside diaper bags.

Globe Life Field Bag Inspection and Security Procedures

Globe Life Field features high-end metal detectors at the entry process along with manual verification

Heading to a game or event at Globe Life Field? Be ready to have your bag searched at the entrance.

I know it can feel like a pain, but the stadium staff are just trying to keep everyone safe.

When you get to the gates, you’ll go through a metal detector first.

Then there are separate lines based on whether you’ve got a bag or not.

If you’re carrying anything bigger than a clutch, expect the security folks will take a little more time than usual. Annoying, sure, but it only takes a minute or two.

If your bag’s not too stuffed and you don’t have banned items, you’ll breeze through. Just part of the routine when you head to a major event these days!

What to Do If Your Bag Doesn’t Fit Their Policy?

Unlike other ballparks, Globe Life Field doesn’t offer storage or bag locker support to its visitors. Yeah, that’s unfortunate.

If you find out that your bag doesn’t meet the Globe Life Field bag policy once you’re already inside, the only thing you can do is to keep that back in your car.

But baseball fans who’ve visited the venue with public transportation will be in a mess in the same situation. I suggest you talk to the security staff regarding this.

The staff will guide you to the proper location for checking in your bags.

What to Do If My Bag is Lost in Globe Life Field?

No need to freak out if you’ve lost your bag in the Globe Life stadium! Their staff are pros at helping locate lost items.

First, head over to any Guest Services booth and let them know you’re missing a bag. Tell them anything you can remember about it – what it looks like, where you think you lost it, what’s inside. The more details the better so they can try to track it down.

“Quick Tip: It’s better to capture an image of your bag before heading towards the venue. This helps a lot in such situations.”

You can also call the stadium later if it doesn’t turn up right away. The number is 817-533-1972

For missing item listings, they ask for the owner’s name and contact information so that in case they can’t find it promptly, they can ask you later regarding this.

Globe Life Field Food Policy and Guide

Explore the various food policies at Globe Life Field, including rules on bringing in your own food and drinks, container regulations, baby food guidelines, drinking water restrictions, and alcohol rules.

Food Policies in Globe Life Field

Globe Life Field is totally cool with outside food, with just a few guidelines to follow.

You can pack your own eats, but they need to be in a clear, quart-sized plastic bag that seals up tight.

This allows each person to carry one bag of food and one unopened bottle of water. Fair enough!

Just remember, any bag or purse you use to transport the goods has to be soft-sided and 16 x 16 x 8 inches or smaller.

And no home-brewed beer or cocktails – outside alcohol is a no-go.

Available Foods and Cost

You’ll find a wide variety of delicious food options available at Globe Life Field to satisfy your hunger during the game. But among them, 5 restaurants and food stations are my favorite.

Globe Life Field does have a variety of food restora, stations

  1. Arlington Eats

I swung by Arlington Eats near Section 101 and it was serving up delicious loaded brisket nachos for $15.

You can really taste the smoked meat in the chili – a taste of Texas! This big ol’ platter was plenty to share with my wife and sons.

  1. Alligator Corn Dog

The Alligator Corn Dog stand in Section 125 was an adventure! I tried one of their handmade corn dog bites with alligator sausage inside for $6.

Tasted like chicken but with a fun crunch from the cornmeal coating. They had regular hot dogs too if Gator isn’t your thing.

  1. Boomstick

BTW, among them all, my favorite spot was the Boomstick stand in Section 132. Their famous 2-foot-long beef hot dog piled high with fixings costs $32 but it fed our whole crew!

We added extra chili, cheese, and jalapeños for a perfect stadium snack. Can’t miss this signature Globe Life Field item.

  1. Pizza Dawwg

I also had to get a pizza at the Pizza Dawwg counter, located in Sections 3, 133, and 214. For $10, you get a beef hot dog baked right into a mini pizza – genius!

The combo of that chewy dog and melted mozzarella was top-notch. I’ll be back for another pizza dog this season for sure.

  1. Scoops

And I can’t forget the ice cream sundaes from Scoops in Section 102. You can pick your favorite flavor and they serve it up in a mini Rangers helmet!

It only costs $6. I went with cookies & cream. A sweet treat to beat the Texas heat.

With so many options, I could try something new every game. Globe Life Field really delivers when it comes to stadium grub!

Globe Life Field Parking Policy, Guide, and Fees

When I went to a Rangers game at Globe Life Field last season, parking was a breeze.

I purchased my parking pass ahead of time on the MLB Ballpark app for $20, which got me into Lot E. (the price may not be the same now.)

Pulling into the lot about an hour before the first pitch, there were attendants directing traffic to open spots.

Their parking area was huge but well organized into rows, so it only took me a couple minutes to park.

They had giant signs pointing the way to the stadium entrances which was super helpful for navigating to the gates.

The parking staff reminded us that the lots were cleared out an hour after the final game pitch. So, it was clean everywhere.

Getting out of the lot was easy too since the attendants had lanes marked for exiting.

Tailgating Is Allowed Mostly

Globe Life Field policy allows tailgating in the parking zone

I liked getting there early to tailgate a bit – the parking lots open 2.5 hours before game time

There I learned, that Globe Life ballpark doesn’t allow tailgating in the A, B, and T zone. The rest of the parking zones are permitted for tailgating.

My friends and I hung out in our car grilling some burgers and having a few beers (in moderation!) before heading in.

Globe Life Field Bag Policy for Concerts and Special Events

For concerts or special events at Globe Life Field, the bag policy can be a little different than what we see for a Rangers game.

In some cases, Globe Life Field has specific rules in place about what kinds of bags are allowed and the size limits. And sometimes, they just relax the overall rules.

Roof Closure Considerations

Keep in mind the roof may be closed if the weather requires it. Concerts and other events often opt to shut the roof, which can really change the vibe inside.

It makes things warmer and the lighting seems different. So be prepared if you’re going to a closed-roof show – dress for the indoor conditions

How Old is Globe Life Field in Texas?

Construction started on Globe Life Field way back in September 2017. Hard to believe now, but they finally had the grand opening on March 23, 2020 – not that long ago! The Rangers played their very first game there about a week later on March 31.

They invested a whopping $1.2 billion for the construction. The big ballpark can accommodate up to 40,300 fans

So, even though it seems like Globe Life Field has been around forever, get this – as of 2023 it’s only about 3 years old!

The Rangers’ old stadium Globe Life Park opened way back in 1994. So this new beauty is still a baby in comparison.
