From the beginning of my career, I have used a lot of baseball bats in different games. And now that I have become a trainer of baseball, students ask me a lot about different types of baseball bats.

The more days pass, the more bats are produced by different brands. There are a lot of changes you will see in those bats. Whenever I bought a bat, I had found benefits and demerits too.

When I first went to the store to buy a baseball bat, I was confused about which one to choose. Easton S3 and MAKO were new to me. As I needed quite a good amount of bats for my students, I bought both of them. 

Before providing the bats to my students, I tested the bats myself. I tried to practice some front elbow baseball swing and both felt good. Easton MAKO, but S3 At that time I thought I made some mistakes. The reasons why I said this, you will find it below.

Easton S3

Let’s talk about Easton S3. In the speed series of Easton, S3 is the last one. Before the S3 came, there were two more named S1 and S2 respectively. For entry-level players, this bat is a great ally. If you are a contact hitter, this bat will be your best friend too.

When I bought the Easton S3, I thought this bat will not serve that well because of its suitability. But oh boy! When I used the bat, it was an average bat with average specifications.

Easton MAKO

Easton MAKO beast is a two-piece composite bat released in 2016. Personally, I have shortlisted this bat as one of the best bats I have ever used. 

When I play a game, I love to look for a sweet spot. This bat gives me the taste of it. Along with that, I feel like my performance has been enhanced by the majority. Also, this is my personal opinion. So, make feel to give your thoughts too and try these bats out.

The bat is very light. When I swung the bat for the first time, I thought I was flying like a bird! I will say, if Easton has ever made the lightest swinging bats, this is the one.

1. How Long Will Easton Mako Bat Last?

I have already told you that MAKO is a composite bat. And normally, a composite bat lasts around 1-3 years after the break-in period. The break-in period can come after 150-300 hits normally.

You may think about your Easton MAKO Beast will be broken after it lands on the break-in period. But I will say that is totally opposite. When the baseball bat goes to the break-in period, the performance of MAKO becomes greater than before. 

So, if you want improved performance and more durability, hit baseballs as many times as your can!

2. Which Bat Can Hit The Farthest Between Easton MAKO Beast Vs S3?

Comparing Easton MAKO beast Vs S3, I found out that NAKO can hit farthest. Why?

Easton S3 is a great bat. Although there is a tiny sweet spot in Easton S3, still it can hit hard. But because of the weight of the bat, the swing time and complete barrel time can differ a lot.

If any contact hitters use Easton S3, then they can hit the ball very hard and far away.

Now, the reason why I did not say S3 can not shoot baseballs further than MAKO is because MAKO is a beast! Just feel the light-weight of these bats. I can swing as hard as I can using Easton MAKO beast. Any professional can make a record of the farthest baseball shooting using Easton MAKO.

3. Can High School Students Play With Easton S3 Or MAKO?

For high school students, Easton S3 will be much preferable. S3 bats are hard and heavy-weight too. So, it can be a great way to build up the body muscles of the students. I use MAKO, but I always let my students train with Easton S3. 

If you are a high school student, I will suggest you buy Easton S3. Easton MAKO can not be a good choice for you. Why am I suggesting?

Easton MAKO is a lightweight baseball bat. This bat is the best choice for professionals but not for beginners. When I was at my high school, I also practiced with a heavyweight. So, from experience I am saying, lightweight bats will not make your body grow properly.
