Petco Park Water Bottle Policy

In the scorching heat of a San Diego game or event, staying hydrated is more important than ever. That’s why it’s crucial that you familiarize yourself with the stadium’s water bottle regulations.

Petco Park allows clear, still, unflavored bottled water to be brought in from outside the stadium. The water container must hold no more than one liter (32 ounces). Additionally, single-serve milk or juice cartons with flexible sides are permitted. Liquids in sealed containers meeting ADA requirements may be brought in for people with special medical needs. 

Guest with impairments may also bring factory-sealed plastic or paper containers with required liquids for medical reasons.

In order to avoid any discomfort or health problems when visiting Petco Park, staying hydrated is a must. Bring your own water in a sealed container or a reusable bottle.

• If your food could be thrown, like oranges or apples, slice or section it.

You’re allowed to bring a still, clear, and unflavored factory-sealed plastic bottled water that’s one liter (32 ounces) or smaller. Also, soft-sided single juice or milk containers are fine. If you need special liquids for medical reasons, they should be in a sealed container.

Unfortunately, you can’t bring alcohol into Petco Park due to California liquor rules. Security officers will check bags to prevent alcohol containers from coming in.

What if My Bag Does NOT Comply with the Petco Park Bag Policy

Things You Can Bring to Petco Park

• Banners, Flags, or Signs: Banners shouldn’t block the view of the batter or be over the field or seats. They can’t cover railings, annoy others’ views, cover ads or screens, or be bigger than 4 feet by 8 feet. Also, they can’t be about business, politics, or bad stuff.
• Cameras and Devices: Feel free to use cameras, video stuff, tablets, and mobile gadgets for yourself.
• Water Bottle: You can bring one clear water bottle, sealed and not flavored, that’s 20 ounces or smaller. Just remember, no opened or half-drunk drinks.
• Food Items: One person can bring a small food item in a clear plastic bag. You can also have sliced fruit in there.
• Bag: If you bring a bag, make sure it’s not bigger than 7” x 10”. But small bags and bags for medical or baby stuff are okay. They’ll check all approved bags.
• Umbrellas: You can bring an umbrella, but close it and put it under your seat. Big umbrellas aren’t allowed.
• Strollers/Wheelchairs: Strollers for kids who need them are okay in the ballpark.
• Baby food and medically necessary items.

• Bats, full-sized brooms, sticks, rods (except small souvenir bats)
• Bicycles (may be parked at approved bike parking at gates)

Remember, it’s a good idea to leave prohibited items at home or in your car. They’ll check everything before you come in. If you’re found with something you’re not supposed to have inside Petco Park, you could get kicked out and maybe even face legal action. Items left in the amnesty boxes at the entrance gates won’t be given back.

Petco Park Guest Code of Conduct  

The Padres and partners aim for a safe, pleasant ballpark experience. They’ll make sure:

• The game isn’t disturbed by guests or unauthorized folks on the field.
• Clothes are respectful.
• No rude language or behavior.
• Guests act appropriately.
• Handling intoxicated guests safely.
• Sitting where your ticket says.
• Zero tolerance for misbehavior. Violators can be ejected without a refund or future tickets.

Petco Park Lost and Found Policy

For lost items, go to the Main Guest Services Center on the Field Level (Main Concourse) by Section 108. Items are kept for 30 days. Unclaimed things after that are given away or donated. To get lost items outside of game hours, fill out the form at padres.com/lostandfound.

If you have a claim number, collect your item from the 24/7 Ballpark Security office near the Omni Hotel on Tony Gwynn Drive.

For lost kids or adults, head to the Main Guest Services Center. Seat locators for kids are available at all Guest Services Centers to help find them.

Petco Park PETS/ANIMALS Policy 

Service animals are allowed at Petco Park. According to U.S. ADA rules, disabled guests can bring trained dogs or miniature horses for tasks related to their disability. Pets that offer emotional support aren’t allowed.

On special days (like Bark at the Park), some pets can enter certain parts of the park. The Padres might allow exceptions.

When Gallagher Square is open, San Diego’s “leash law” applies as per San Diego Municipal Code §63.0102.

Petco Park Parking 

Parking options are tight. If you’re driving, you can buy parking permits from Padres or off-site lots. They recommend Harbor Drive lots or Horton Plaza and walking in. Check maps on padres.com/transportation.

The Padres, with Ace Parking, offer various parking choices at different prices and places. You choose what suits you. Around 27,000 spaces downtown, 8,000 for Petco Park guests, $15.00 to $60.00 depending on closeness. 

You can buy Padres Preferred parking in advance at padres.com or (619) 795-5555. Season Ticket Members get discounts. Pre-paid parking for individual game tickets online or at the box office. More options at space.aceparking.com.

Come early, and choose parking based on where you’re headed after the game. If it’s a big game, consider public transport or Harbor Drive.

They can’t control prices at private garages or lots or other parking places.

Can I Take a Laptop or Table to Petro Park? 

You can usually bring laptops and tablets into Petco Park if they follow the bag rules.

Where are the Family Restrooms at Petro Park?

To help you out, there are family restrooms at Petco Park. They’re for families and guests needing extra help or privacy. You’ll find them in Sections 109, 202, 219, 310, and 311. 

Can I Take Foul Balls or Home Run Balls at Petro Park? 

You can keep any foul ball or home run ball you catch at Petco Park. Don’t throw them back onto the field, though. If you do, you might be asked to leave. Also, be careful of bats and balls flying into the stands.

Can I Smoke inside Petco Park? 

NO. Smoking is not allowed inside the stadium. Electronic cigarettes are also forbidden. 

Can I Bring STROLLERS, WHEELCHAIRS, and WALKERS to Petro Park? 

Strollers, wheelchairs, and walkers are fine at Petco Park, as long as they don’t block the way or aisles.

Please avoid leaving strollers alone or in the wrong spots. For your convenience and safety, you can park items with wheels at the Guest Services Centers on the Field Level (Main Concourse) at Sections 108, 131, or 303.
