According to the Target Field bag policy update in 2023, you can bring any single-compartment bags that fit within the dimensions of 16” X 16” X 8” inches.

More specifically, the permissible bag list consists of transparent bags, clutch bags, drawstring bags, fanny packs, medical bags, laptop bags, camera bags, etc. if it’s under the mentioned size restrictions.

In the prohibited bag list, they marked backpacks, multi-compartment bags, hard containers, duffle bags, and vice versa.

Target Field Bag Policy – Allowed Bag Size and Types

You don’t need to worry much about the bag restriction as there are bunches of white-listed bag types for the Target Field visitors. These bag options are enough to bring your essentials while adhering to the size restrictions set by the Minnesota Twins. Let’s check out:

1. Regular Purses and Clutch purses

You can bring a regular soft-sided purse or clutch purse. These bags are allowed as long as they meet the size requirements set by the authority. So, make sure your bag is no larger than 16 by 16 by 8 inches.

2. Single-Compartment Tote Bags

The Target Field stadium also allows you to bring single-compartment totes (1/per person). It should meet the size limit of 16′ x 16′ x 8′.

3. Clear Bags

According to Target Field’s clear bag policy, visitors are encouraged to bring such types of bags the most. Because checking such bag types requires less time at the security checkpoints. And like many MLB baseball stadiums, Target Field also encourages visitors to bring clear bags. Why?

Because it’s easier and less time-consuming to inspect transparent bags compared to others.

4. Drawstring Bags

It’s a good part of their bag policy, no doubt. You can get access to MLB games with drawstring bags, unlike at other ballparks. But make sure it features a single compartment.

5. Diaper Bags

If you’re headed to Target Field with your little one, don’t need to worry about essential baby care. You can bring in diaper bags inside the ballpark.

But note this, don’t pick one that’s larger than 16” by 16” by 8”. You can also bring in other baby care stuff like wipes, water bottles, single juice or milk containers for children, snacks, and other necessities.

6. Single-Compartment Soft-Sided Coolers

Yes, you’re safe to enter the MLB ballpark with soft-sided coolers but with a single compartment and within the mentioned size restrictions.

7. Medical Bags with Necessary Items

You can bring your bag containing medically necessary items to Target Field and store it under your seats. Another relief is that it can be multi-compartment also. But the medical supply bag needs to be 16” by 16” by 8” or smaller. The Twins might check your bag when you go in.

8. Fanny Packs

For guest convenience, the ballpark allows carrying fanny packs. So, it’s good news for all the fashion lovers. However, they will inspect all fanny packs and reserve the right to remove any items from your bag if that violates their policy.

9. Camera Bag

You can bring in camera bags but they must adhere to the size restrictions. Well, creative people, it’s your day then!

10. Laptop Bags

If you’re joining the baseball game after office work, you can come in with your laptop bag. But it should be a single-compartment laptop bag.

As part of their clear bag policy, guests with backpacks won’t get permission to access the baseball stadium, even though it’s smaller than the mentioned size. I’m guessing they don’t show a soft corner for backpacks as it takes more time for the bag inspection process.

Multi-Compartment Camera Bags

It’s a NO for multi-compartment camera bags. Otherwise, nothing to worry about.

Multi-Compartment Laptop Bags

You can’t bring a multi-compartment laptop bag to the field.

Duffle Bags

Duffel bags of any size aren’t permitted inside Target Field as part of the bag policy. It’s better to keep the bag in the car or hotel if traveling from outside.

Starting in 2023, Target Field introduced the Evolv Express screening solution at all gates for the bag inspection process. This new screening technology allows you to go through entry gates without needing to empty your pockets or have your bag physically checked.

When you reach the screening area, simply keep walking at a normal pace with all your belongings in your pockets and any approved bag in hand. Only stop if instructed by Security Personnel.

So, in a nutshell, they are trying to ensure top-level security while providing you with a smoother entry process with this advanced screening process.

Minneapolis Bag Storage Options

Unlike most baseball stadiums, Target Field features a bag storage facility for the guests. During Twins home games, you can keep your bags in the stadium lockers provided. These lockers are situated close to Gate 6 and Target Field Station. And the best part is you won’t be charged for using this service.

Or else, you can try 3rd party storage services like Bounce, which will cost you $5.90 a day. It’s located near the Target Field station.

Advantages of Coming Without Bags

To have a better time, it’s best to not bring any bags if possible. Leaving your bags at home has advantages.

• First, you don’t have to get your bag checked at the entrance, which saves time and makes getting into the stadium easier.
• Plus, you don’t have to carry bags around during the game, so you can move around freely and enjoy everything at Target Field.

Also, leaving your bags reduces the risk of losing them and lets you focus on having fun.

Lost Bag Policy at Target Field

In the case of your lost items, you can also submit a claim on their official site. • For those who love a classic ballpark favorite, Tony Os serves a delicious Cuban sandwich with ham, cheese, and pickles.
• And if you’re a pizza lover, don’t miss out on Pizza Luce’s excellent slices, especially the meaty TC Bear option.
• Of course, I can’t forget to mention the hot dogs! You can choose from The Original Twins Dog at different concession stands or go for The Twins Big Dog, which is a larger hot dog served with a bag of potato chips.
• You can also get gluten-free options, bunless hot dogs are available throughout the ballpark.
